Charlie will surely be missed by all. I learned so much from him about the Bible in Sunday School, though we laughed a lot we also learned. He had a unique way of teaching the scriptures to us. I look forward to learning from Charlie Jr. in the future.Charlie had a wonderful family and they have the same faith of Charlie. I will miss him so much. God Bless you all.

Our Dearest Rita and Family: How can we begin to express our hearts at this time of your loss and all those who knew and loved Charlie! Our hearts were "knitted together" from the very first when pine Valley Meth Church held a Lay Witness mission. it was during that time that Many of us to include myself and Jerry accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as our personal Savior. Charlie & Rita began a small group that met on Fridays at several of our homes and we all rejoiced with singing, Bible study and good olde fashioned fun and comradre. Pastor led the Bible Study and subsuquently went on to study at Duke for his seminary degree. That began our unending friendship starting in 1975 and ongoing. We moved to Delaware in 1979, but our ties were unbroken in the Lord! We shared so many wonderful times around that kitchen table with Rita's coffeecake (remember Rita!) Rejoiced in sharing ministry together at the church and pastor Epley as we called him occasionally even took our little childrens choir "on the road" to other churches to sing their Gaither songs.

Since we are "all terminal" as Charlie would expound from the pulpit, We are soo happy that Our dear Charlie is now rejoicing with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We love you Rita and our hearts and prayers go out to you now and always. Linda and Jerry Chandler

We had the privilege to hear many, many messages by Pastor Hause. His love for God, his family, and for those around was always clearly evident. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Hause Family.

Where to start? Charlie was a wonderful man. I knew Charlie from his days at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. Charlie married my wife and I some 18 years ago and also performed my mother-in-laws funeral a few years back at our request. He was the most caring person you could ever meet along with his wife Rita. Reverand Hause as I would accidently call him was always quick to point out that he wasn't Reverand Hause, Pastor or anything else, he was just Charlie and his wife was Rita. Well Charlie you will be gretly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family forever. Rest in piece CHARLIE. With love, Greg, Stephanie, and Dylan Laughter

I first met Charlie around 40 years ago when he preached a revival at Herring's Chapel UMC, and his message spoke to my heart. Many years later, when I finally answered the call to pastor, he was one of the first to welcome me.
I considered him a mentor and an encourager, and always looked forward to seeing him and talking with him, if only for a few moments.
He stood firm in the faith, and expected and helped others to do so.
Rita, thank you for sharing him. May God continue to watch over you and your family.

To Rita, children and Charlies Harbor Family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Charlie was such an inspiration to all that know him and made quite an impression on our family. Although he will be missed by all on this earth he has entered a place that he looked forward to being..Heaven. One of my fondest memories of Charlie was upon visiting him in the CCU unit years ago and he told us with glee that he was not afraid of dying. He was looking forward to meeting his Lord. And he meant it. Helps us to know that he is rejoicing with God! Love and prayers to all of you. Kathy and William Wilson
