Betty, I saw Betty Brown Wooten at dinner tonight and she asked me about your son, having seen his obituary in the paper. We have been out of town and I missed the obit so had not heard. All the family send love and prayers. We are sorry for your loss. Betty Wooten sends her sympathy as well

I am at such a loss of words ... to the Wright family, whom I knew well so long ago when we all lived in Kirkwood - you are in my prayers and thoughts. Gil and I were in kindergarten together, then first grade, then so many grades/classes throughout Irving Park, Mendenhall, Page and Carolina. I saw him last spring in Wilmington. It was always so great to see Gil. He had the best smile and laugh. He was funny, smart and real. I am so, so saddened and upset at this news. I will remember Gil with much warmth and affection, and look to the time when we can laugh together again.
