Mr. Jackie was our neighbor in three different places when I was growing up. He lived across the street from my grandmother and was so sweet to her, always checked on her and helped her in her yard. He was a good friend, good neighbor, and one of the first neighbors that I met when I moved to Normandy Dr. I always saw him doing things for the people that lived in our section of Normandy Dr. As a matter of fact...Im not sure how some people on this block are going to get their lawns cut now that he is gone. He always seemed to have time to spend with his neighbors no matter how busy he might be with the many projects he had going on in his garage. He always had an ear to listen to his neighbors and friends. And there was no one better to bounce an idea off of if you might be stuck on a project you were working on. Without a doubt...he will be missed by everyone that had the pleasure of meeting him. There is a void now in our section of Normandy Dr. that Im not sure will ever be filled by anyone of his caliber. Rest in peace my friend.
