JAMES LOUIS PRICE JR, DDS

James Louis Price, Jr, DDS, of Wilmington, NC, formerly of Hickory, NC, died Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at Silver Stream Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born on July 1, 1923 in Louisville, KY, the son of the late James Louis Price, Sr. and Dora Epley Price. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Lockhart Price in 1999.
Dr. Price was a veteran of the US Army having served during the Korean War. He was a graduate of Mars Hill College and the University of Tennessee School of Dentistry and practiced dentistry in Hickory, NC, for forty-five years. He retired to Wilmington where he has lived for the last twenty-two years.
Dr. Price was a member of Pine Valley Baptist Church. He was a devoted Christian man and will be remembered by his family for always making them the most important part of his life.
Surviving is one son, James "Jim" L. Price, III, MD and wife Mary of Wilmington, NC; one daughter, Jere Curtis and husband Steve of Greensboro, NC; three grandchildren, James "Jay" L. Price, IV and wife Amanda of Raleigh, NC, April N. Price and April C. Ingram, both of Wilmington, NC; two great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Price and Sarah Price, both of Raleigh, NC; and one brother, William Price of Hickory, NC.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 23, 2007 at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel.
