Truly saddened to learn about Capt. Glen's passing.
Wilmington, our former Piedmont Airlines domicile of many years, provided so many fond memories.
One in particular being having flown with Capt Glen.
We began our friendship in the late 70s, inside the cockpit of the Nihon YS-11 turbo aircraft.
Flying together for Piedmont Airlines. Back in the day, our flying was puddle jumping from
one small county airport to the next.
One really gets to know a person in that confined environment flying from dawn to sunset and beyond.
Capt Glen was an excellent aviator. He always took great pride in his flying. Was a joy working with him.
He consistently made some of the best darn landings of all the pilots I ever had the privilege to fly with.
Though we never fished together, when docking at his fish market to offload my catch, he was often
there working his retail operation. Interacting with customers as though they were all long time friends.
He had such a personable friendly way about him. Those who knew him were better for it.
Capt. Glen will always be remembered for the fine gentleman he was.
Just one friendly down to earth caring good soul.
And one hell of an Aviator !
God bless his family.
May he Rest In Peace...

I got to see him at Tidal Creek Co-op several times recently. Always a kind word and a smile. I did some work on his restaurant years ago. Glad I got to see him again.
