MARGUERITE "PEGGY"

DUBOIS FRY

Marguerite "Peggy" DuBois Fry of Carolina Beach, NC, and Cherry Hill, NJ, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 6, 2010, with her family by her side.

She was born June 6, 1950, in Cherry Hill, NJ, and was the daughter of the late Marjorie French DuBois and the late Louis E. DuBois.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ralph A. Miller, Jr.

Peggy was a charter member of Holy Cross Episcopal Church in Wilmington, NC, and was a Daughter of the King. She was a servant for Hospice and on the Good Shepherd Ministries food team. Along with her husband, Dr. Douglas S. Fry, Sr., she was a member of the Scottish Society of Wilmington and involved with the Sons of the American Revolution.

She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Shannon Miller Bope and Tracy Kristine Miller of Wilmington; one son, D. Sterling Fry, Jr., and wife Kimmy R. Fry of Williamsburg, VA; and three grandchildren, Christian, Abigail Lucille, and Cameron Bope. Additional survivors include four sisters, Joanne D. Ross (Don) of Wilmington, Barbara D. Hallett (John) of Culpeper, VA, Carol D. Holt of Cherry Hill, NJ, and Lu Ann D. Gilligan (Kenry) of Charleston, SC; one brother, Richard DuBois (Stevie) of Tucson, AZ; mother-in-law, Helen Fry of Knoxville, TN; former mother-in-law, Lucille Miller of Ormond Beach, FL; and numerous other loving family and friends.

Peggy's family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Intensive Care Unit of New Hanover Regional Medical Center for their personal care and professional attention during the past number of weeks.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 15, 2010, at Holy Cross Episcopal Church, 5820 Myrtle Grove Road, Wilmington, NC 28409.

Flowers may be sent to the church. Contributions may be made to the Holy Cross Episcopal Church Building Fund, c/o POB 1559, Carolina Beach, NC 28428.

My deepest and most sincere condolences to Dr. Fry, Shannon & Tracy. I will NEVER forget Peggy...her smile, her laughter and her generous loving heart. We were blessed to know her & she touched so many lives. Peggy will surely be missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew & loved her.
