My friends and l were introduced to Ruth and her family at our first US Barbie convention in Houston. We sat and chatted for quite a while. She was so wonderful to talk to and had so many lovely stories to tell. She will be sadly missed by the wider Barbie community. Thanks Ruth for your vision all those years ago. Your legacy will carry on. I am so glad l got to meet you and have that wonderful chat.

What a loss in the Barbie world and the world in general. I corresponded with Ruth before having the pleasure of meeting her in 1980 at the 1st Barbie Convention in NYC that she co-chaired. She had so much personality and talent which made her a delight to know. We are thankful to have had her as a friend for so long. Sadly we send our prayers and best wishes to her family.

Both Richard & I feel such a huge loss with the passing of Ruth. We had the privilege of seeing and visiting with her every year at the Barbie conventions and had the opportunity to spend a week with her and her daughter Joyce in 2011. She was a true friend!
Ruth was truly a visionary in the Barbie world and the collectors have been really blessed to be the recipients of all she has done.
Our condolences to Scott and Johanne and the family.
We hope she is planning a Barbie Convention in Heaven!

I have so many great memories of Ruth and will miss her very much. She was such a warm and wonderful friend.
We became friends when she was moving to North Carolina and I was so happy she could join my club for the Barbie birthday celebration in 2013. She and Joyce (Joy) came up to Durham and shared the fun with us.
I was able to visit her at her home with my mom and friend and she shared so many memories with us. I am so happy I could be there for the birthday celebration at this year's convention. It made her so happy to be among friends.
I would like to share this special photo of Ruth from 2013 when she brought her signed #1 Barbie to the birthday event so we could all hold her. The photo captures her joy of sharing her love of dolls with all of us.

I will miss my dear Barbie friend Ruth Cronk. Meeting her in 1982 at the second National Barbie Doll collectors convention was a special moment in my life. We remained friends ever since. She led me into the world of Barbie Doll Collecting, She is a wonderful woman so interested in both the Barbie Doll and the Girl Scouts. I shall miss her deeply

A very nice lady to all she met. She will be missed at the National Barbie Doll Collectors Convention. Her smile will be missed. I last saw her in Phoenix @ 2018. She received special recognition there. She was one of the people I always looked forward to seeing at Convention.
