Tony Clayton Obituary
Tony Glenn Clayton led a life filled with family, friends, travel, church and community. His legacy can be seen in the faces of his grandchildren, the people he loved and the house he made a home. Tony, 60, of Ocean Isle Beach passed away Friday, February 12, 2010 in New Hanover Regional Medical Center. He was born in Person County, NC, on June 7, 1949, a son of the late Perry Thaxton and Dorothy Slaughter Clayton. He was preceded in death by brothers, Ken and Jimmy.
Tony was owner of Touch of Glass, a veteran of the US Air Force, member of the WBHS Booster's Club, Brunswick County Chamber of Commerce and the NC Glass Association. He also was a charter member and deacon of New Beginnings Community Church.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Redwine Clayton; a son, Dylan L. Clayton of Seattle, WA; a daughter, Ginger Taylor, and her husband, Andy, of Ocean Isle Beach; four sisters Linda Fish of Raleigh, Faye Clayton, Rie Clayton, and Susie Elliott of Roxboro, NC; and grandchildren Braden and Gracie Taylor.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, February 15, 2010 at New Beginnings Community Church by Rev. Brad Ferguson and Rev. Dr. John Peverette. Memorials may be made to New Beginnings Community Church, 730 Whiteville Road, Shallotte, NC 28470.

We are very shocked by the bad bad news we heard today from Idwer. Unbelievable to realise Tony is not longer among yours. Idwer and we were looking forward to see you all again in the future. It will be different.
