WILLIAM GARY SKIPPER William Gary Skipper, 70 of Wilmington NC, died November 19th, 2018 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center in Wilmington. He was born September 3rd, 1948 in Wilmington, NC, the son of William "Bill" Skipper and Dorothy Louise Holden Brown. He is preceded in death by his father, Bill, mother, Dorothy (Dot) and son, Shawn L. Skipper. For years, Gary worked for Lockheed Missile & Space Company in Sunny Vale, California. Through his work he traveled extensively overseas and enjoyed sharing his experiences with family and friends. He was a great story teller with an infectious laugh. Gary was tragically injured in a skiing accident at Lake Tahoe on February 2, 1992. He was blessed to have the support of his Mother and many care givers who aided him for the past twenty-six years. He was a member of Masonboro Baptist Church. A graveside service will be held Monday, November 26th at 1:00 PM at Greenlawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Gordon Wright officiating.
