REIDSVILLE, Ga. -- Mr. Charles Clifton, age 57, passed away Sunday, July 11, 2021.
He was a Bulloch County native and the son of the late Edward and Susie Mae Hill Clifton. He received his formal education in the public school system of Bulloch County.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Jack Edward Clifton.
He leaves to cherish his memories: a daughter, Charmaine Williams, Statesboro, Ga.; sisters, Betty L. Hill, Lorine Love, May Frances (Jerry) Lee, all of Statesboro, Ga.; Grace Clifton, Atlanta, Ga.; and Layvette Clifton (Isaac Smith), Statesboro, Ga.; brothers, James (Betty) Clifton and Eddis Clifton, both of Statesboro, Ga.; Lavon (Mattie) Clifton, Sylvania, Ga.; and Terry Clifton (Joan Murray), Statesboro, Ga.; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A walk-through viewing for Mr. Clifton will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2021, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Hill's Mortuary, Inc.
The funeral service for Mr. Charles Clifton will be held 11 a.m. Sunday, July 18, 2021, at the Ben Samuel Hill Memorial Chapel of Hill's Mortuary, Inc., with the Rev. Maurice Hill officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church Cemetery.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, social-distancing will be enforced at the funeral home and graveside services. We ask that you adhere to all CDC guidelines.
Final rites have been entrusted to Hill's Mortuary, Inc.
