Family-Placed Obituary

Al Wenzel, born on August 20, 1943, married 39 years to his beloved wife Ione Wenzel; and father to Michael and Kathleen Wenzel, David and Jeanine Wenzel; grandfather to Cameron, Jacob, Erika, Connor and Allison Wenzel; brother to Cam and Craig Seckinger, Kitty and John Hamilton, John and Cate Wenzel, Laura and Bill Frea, Karen and Jim DeFilippis, Dan and Deidre Wenzel, John and Joan Gadbois and Jim and Sandee Wenzel. His in-laws considered him to be a brother, Ardell and Leah Jorde, Wayne and Bonnie Jorde, Ellen and Adrian Moritz, Merlyn and Shirley Skold, and so many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin, his brother, Larry, his sister Louise, and his grandparents, Ernie and Eleanor Wenzel, and Cameron and Virginia Gardner. Al loved his family and friends. It was no small thing to be loved by Al. He filled his life with love and laughter. He was a master story and joke teller, lover of music and an avid outdoorsman. He loved our Lord Jesus Christ and went home to be with Him on November 20, 2003. He is and will be greatly missed by everyone. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 25, 2003, at The Lakeway Church, 2203 Lakeway Blvd. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to Crossbridge Community Church, 3122 Lomita Dr., Austin, TX 76733.
