Alfred RIDDLE Obituary
Alfred Glenn Riddle passed away after a brief illness on March 22, 2015 in Austin, Texas.
Al, as he was known, was born in Dallas, Texas on July 7, 1929. A lifelong resident, he grew up by White Rock Lake, moving to Oak Cliff after his marriage to Rose. They shared 60 loving years of marriage before her death in 2013.
Al spent most of his professional life with Placid Oil Company. In his free time, he enjoyed helping his neighbors, going for walks, having fun with his wife and always being available for his daughter and grandsons.
He is survived by his daughter Joan, her husband Michael Stys and their two sons, Alex and Jon. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, with special affection for Cheryl Smithers and Ann Andrews.
A celebration of his life will be held at Triumphant Love Lutheran Church in Austin, Texas on Saturday, April 18 at 3:00 pm.
Special thanks are owed to the amazing caregivers and staff at Arden Courts of Austin, who helped to care for Al during the last year of his life. He will be greatly missed by his family and leaves them with many happy memories. No words can express how much he was loved.
