I will never forget the first time I met Ann Ray "Coach Ray" at freshmen orientation Crockett highschool. I was recruited for volleyball that day because of "Coach Ray" . All my nerves and fears were gone that day on. I belonged to a team a group and she took the time to teach me and get to know me.I will never forget you Ann Ray and my family will hear about all the stories of how you made my learning and team sport days so memorable for me.

I wanted your family to know that Coach Ray was an amazing coach, teacher and person. She coached me in volleyball and after I hurt my knee playing she was patient and encouraging as I regained my confidence and skills to continue playing. She taught me so much about life and hard work, at the same time having fun doing it. She will always hold a special place in my heart.

I hold Your family in my heart and in my prayers.

Please know Coach Ray changed my life 23 years ago when I took her skating classes. I had no self confidence and through her kind and caring ways she tought me that I could do AMAZING things and I could trust in myself. For this I will always be grateful. I know there are thousands of "kids" that have stories just like mine because Coach Ray passed through our lives.

May God always bless and be with each of you.

Doug and Family,
Shocked was how we all felt when I opened the paper and read about your mother. We remember her from Crockett days as such a force of energy. She was very good to our family when mother suffered health problems and had to retire from teaching and we will never forget that. Ann Ray was beautiful and always, always smiling. That is how we will remember her. God bless your hearts, we know they are heavy.
