Tootsie and her husband, Steve, were two of my dad's very best friends. We spent many times together and I remember her as a very kind, sweet, special lady. My prayers to the family for your loss.

Mrs. Simmons the most kindest, sweetest lady on this earth. Very patient, she taught me how to play Bonaparte's retreat on the piano. How she could play the piano and that beautiful organ. She was a natural. We use to stay up on Saturday nights to watch movies. My mom & I spent every Saturday nights just to stay up to watch movies. All the Christmas parties and New Year's parties are such a good memory of my childhood. Which could not have been possible if it had not been for Mrs. Simmons. She use to tell Poppy to go on to bed. Such a fine lady, very talented, intelligent and I'm so blessed to have had her in my life.

Mrs. Simmons, my neighbor for 45 years, was a delightful, intelligent woman right up until her passing. Crossword and jumble word puzzles were our brain fitness pastime. In later years she looked forward to her Meals on Wheels contacts and especially loved having Angie with her children help deliver and Dawn tell of her latest adventure. She never expected, but always appreciated, any act of loving kindness. She was a remarkable woman and I will miss her greatly.
