Bobby SHILLER Obituary
Bobby Lee Shiller, 67, of Taylor, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Seton Hospital surrounded by family.
Bobby was born in Taylor on May 16, 1947 to Lumie V. and Viola Wilson Shiller. He graduated from Thrall High School and proudly served in the U.S. Army. He retired from Otis Elevator after 35 years of service. Bobby enjoyed gardening, making yard art, NASCAR, playing the slots in Louisiana and dominoes. Bobby also love to travel with his job at Otis Elevator that took him all over the world.
He is predeceased by grandparents, Vince B. and Cecelia Shiller and Ira M. and Della Wilson, and his parents.
Bobby is survived by wife Barbara Shiller of Taylor; daughter Kristi Bailey and husband Ronnie, Sr. and grandchildren Ronnie, Jr. and Ryan Bailey all of Georgetown. He is also survived by step-daughter Shelley Kohl and husband Charles and step-grandchildren Amanda and Adam Kohl all of Temple; brother Billy Shiller and wife Dorothy of Harker Heights and sisters Eileen Dickerson and husband Lavoie of Beaukiss and Marilyn Artieschoufsky and husband Donny of Taylor; nephews Cory Shiller of Los Angeles, CA, Gregory Artieschoufsky and wife Ana of Round Rock and their sons Anthony and Benjamin Artieschoufsky and Jerry Dickerson and family of Sweetwater; nieces Nicole McCay and husband Taylor of Houston and their daughter Scarlett McCay and Sherita Whitfield and husband Rod of Garland; aunts Bessie Wolff of San Antonio, Beatrice Dupree of Navasota and Oma Nell Wilson of Jasper and numerous cousins and friends.
A special thanks to family, friends, neighbors and Seton League House.
To honor Bobby's request, he was cremated with no service planned at this time.

Happy Birthday Bobby, today would have been your 70th, a milestone! We will celebrate in your memory on Sunday, along with Donny's 63rd and a belated Mom's Day, we'll be thinking of Mom also. My dear brother Bobby was 7 years older than me, so he was already in school when I came along. Don't remember much of those younger years. Some of his friends knew him as Red, I guess because of the color of his hair, kinda reddish blond in his high school years, best I remember. They would hang out on Brushy Creek down by where we use to live. Bobby liked to tell stories and reminisce when we got together--some about growing up; our family, relatives and friends; his traveling and commuting to various locations working for Otis; and just everyday stuff. Bobby was a good dancer, he just flowed with the music; he liked to tell the story of Aunt Bessie teaching him to dance at an oompah dance, back then, the Polka bands were the only kind of music around. Lavoie got to know Bobby better when he was helping him tear down some buildings on the property he bought next door to his place. We rode with him to North Carolina for Niki and Taylor's wedding in 2011 and he told us about his trips to South Carolina when he was working for Otis and some of the places he went while there. Bobby enjoyed a good time. He liked to shoot pool so we got together a few times and shot couples pool; and sometimes listened to karaoke or the local bands play. Bobby was a good brother and person--he is missed, and will be. Rest in Peace my dear brother. We love you!

I will miss Bobby. He was my mechanic on the road with Otis in the late 70's. He was a good teacher. Bobby was patient with my shortcomings as a helper and looked out for me.
