Bruce Reznick Obituary

Bruce Alan Reznick was born in 1947 in St. Louis, Missouri to Frank and Rose Reznick. He met Pam, his wife of 51 years, at Hillel at Washington University in St. Louis in 1967, and also went on to receive his law degree there. After Pam and Bruce married in 1973, they ultimately moved to Austin where Bruce opened the first frozen yogurt store in Texas, called "Bruce's Yogurt," on Guadalupe. When the Church of Scientology bought the building and wouldn't renew his lease, Bruce decided to join Pam as a stock broker, and they continued to work together providing financial services in Austin for over 40 years. Bruce was lucky to convert his avocation into his vocation, and was passionate about the stock market.

Bruce's greatest pride and joy was his daughter Rachel, and he especially loved taking her to Westover Hills swimming pool and attending all of her school theatre performances. He was a voracious reader, a former college tennis player, and enjoyed time spent with his dog. He was a devoted husband, father, and uncle. He is survived by his wife Pam, daughter Rachel, son-in-law Jamie, and niece and nephews Stephanie, Josh, Davi, and Matt.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made in Bruce's honor to any animal welfare charity or to Hospice Austin.
