Carol Urias Obituary

Carol Urias passed away peacefully on September 9, 2025 following an illness. Carol was born on December 6, 1960 and lived her entire life in central Texas. A lifelong fan of the Longhorns and Dolphins, Carol lived by the creed she inherited from her parents, "If I can help, I'll help." Her working life was spent predominantly within insurance as well as with the IRS.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Agapito and Mary Lou Urias. She is survived by her son Justin Bauer, siblings Laurie Calderon, Thomas Urias, Rebecca Urias and Sarah Stanfield, brother and sister-in-law James Stanfield and Rhonda Urias, and her nephew and three nieces.
A private memorial will be held in her honor. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Remarkable Life Foundation.

I remember Carol from Travis HS we were good friends from 10th grade to 12th grade. She was a good friend we hung out together on weekends and days I didn't work. I am sorry to say that I didn't keep up with you. My condolences to Carol's family. May Carol rest in peace.

My sincere condolences to Justin and the Urias family. Carol and I have known each other since high school. Then we worked at Farmers Insurance for years. We supported each other through our pregnancies, often taking walks at Town Lake. I was saddened to hear she had been ill. May she rest in eternal peace. Rita Santiago

Carol was a remarkable sister. She loved family; books; movies and putting puzzles together. I will miss her quick, witty humor and her vast biographical knowledge of the lives and careers of celebrities. She enjoyed helping young ones learn new activities and encouraged them to pursue their interests. Know that you are deeply loved and rest in peace.

Carol was one of the first people I met when I lived into the neighborhood and moved there in 1972. She was a loyal and wonderful friend thru Junior high school and High school. While we missed out alot during our adults years, we'd connect and talk from time to time but we really reconnected in 2019 and it was a pleasure to visit, have dinners, small trips in the surrounding area and within Texas, going to the movies and reminiscing on times gone by. She will always be a friend and will remain in my heart. I will truly miss her. May peace be with you my friend. Until we meet again . Love, Milissa

Dearest Carol,

You were the mother of our son, Justin. Everyone always says what a nice and polite young man he is. I always tell them that you raised him with the right values.

Rest easy now. You will always be missed. Love, Nick
