Channing Garin Harper
Channing Garin Harper Sept. 22, 1967 - April 11, 2006 Channing Harper moved on in his journey on April 11, 2006. He is survived by his mother and his other father, Sheri Daigle and Paul Baron; his father and his other mother, Bruce and Chris Harper; brother, Trey Harper; grandfather Charles Harper; grandparents, Phyllis Stocki and Stan Stocki; grandmother, Paula Baron; and aunts and uncles, Madeline (Mallyn) Graham, Elaine Wilson, Susan and Tony Aguilar, Gregg Stocki and Brad Stocki, and many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by grandparents Alta Fay Harper, and Helen and Lloyd Daigle. Channing Harper was born in Bossier City, Louisiana, on September 22, 1967. He was a delightful and energetic child. We just tried to keep up with him. He was especially lovable, intelligent, creative and extraordinarily funny. His unique worldview helped us all to see the world in a new way. Channing faced life's challenges with a big heart and courage and his successes enabled him to help others. He was a great lover of music, Egyptian pyramids, science, dogs, a few special cats, and his good friends. (Not necessarily in that order.) Channing Harper was beloved by his family and his good friends. He was a kind and gentle man, and we love him with all our hearts. Please join us in a Celebration of Channing's Life which will be held Sunday, April 23, 2006, at 5:00 p.m. at the Angel Funeral Home, 1600 South First St., Austin, Texas, located in his favorite zip code, 78704. Feel free to dress casually!

Sheri, there really aren't words to express my sympathy for the loss of your beloved son, Channing. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I did a special healing ceremony for you, Paul and Channing at one of my favorite places on the beach on Puget Sound. Sure enough, there were 3 bald eagles soaring overhead after I finished so I know my words for him were heard. With much love, your cousin Jackie.

Channing operated on so many levels and whenever I heard his soft-spoken comments my head would whip around is pure astonishment and then the humor would engulf me and I would get to have one of those full belly laughs.
Sheri and Paul have been my rocks of support and love and friendship for almost 20 years and I would not be who I am today or where I am today without them. Watching the love and guidance they freely give Channing is inspiring to me.
Sheri, Paul, you are in my heart and I love you. Irene

CHANNING AND I KNEW EACH OTHER WHEN HE WAS JUST A BABE UP UNTIL COLLEGE AGE. HE , SHERI AND I ALMOST GREW UP TOGETHER . CHANNING WAS THE PLAYMATE OF MY TWO DAUGHTERS EARLY ON. HE WAS OUR LITTLE IMP: THAT BEAUTIFUL FACE AND FUNNY SMILE ALONG WITH A WILD, FRENETIC, ROLL-ON THE FLOOR PERSONALITY THAT WON US ALL OVER. MY GIRLS COULD NOT WAIT TO BE WITH CHANNING- THEY PLAYED DRESS-UP CONSTANTLY, AND , OF COURSE CHANNING WAS THE MOST GLAMOROUS OF THE 3. IT REALLY WASN'T CHANNING'S FAULT WHEN HE PUSHED MY LITTLE GIRL STEPHANIE RIGHT OUT THE BABYSITTER'S (NANA'S) UPSTAIRS WINDOW. I GOT A SCARY CALL SAYING "CHAN PUSHED STEPH RIGHT OUT THE WINDOW ACCIDENTLY!". WE WEREN'T SURPRISED AT ALL, SOMEHOW NO ONE EVER GOT HURT. UNFORGETABLE CHANNING!!

SHERI, YOU MUST BE SO PROUD OF HOW YOUR UNUSUALLY BRIGHT AND HARD HEADED SON HAS TURNED OUT. CALM, SWEET, GENTLE, AND ABSOLUTELY A HERO AMONG HIS PEERS - BECAUSE I WATCHED YOU LOVE HIM, STRUGGLE WITH HIM, AND TEACH HIM ABOUT ART AND SPIRITUAL BEAUTY AND GUESS WHAT? HE WAS LISTENING. MAY HIS SPIRIT CONTINUE TO GLOW FOR ALL OF US FOREVER.

TO Chan's family,
I'm so saddened to hear about Channing. He was such a vibrant boy and full of life and fun. I'll never forget out adventure to Six Flags when he was young, visiting his grandparents and the bakery. We had such fun that day.

Channing continues to be a beacon of peace to me and has taught me to pay more attention to others and that a smile can mean so much. My deepest condolences to the beautiful people who got to love him his whole life. Thank You
