Christopher McManus Obituary

Christopher Mark McManus Chris McManus, age 22, died Monday, July 17th in Austin, Texas. Chris was born in Austin on October 26th, 1983 to Mark C. McManus and Barbara L. Christenson. He grew up in the Austin/Dripping Springs area and graduated from Garza High School in 2003. Chris will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor and his adventurous spirit. Chris was an avid outdoors person; he enjoyed many hunting and fishing expeditions with his dad and brother. In his younger years he demonstrated an interest in drawing, earned a membership in the National Junior Honor Society, played little league baseball, and actively participated in cub scouts and boy scouts. Recently he had been employed in his father's business and attended Austin Community College. Chris was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Quinn and Vera McManus. He is survived by his parents, his brother, Dustin McManus, his stepmother, Karen McManus, grandparents, Olaf and Evelyn Christenson, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. A memorial service will be held at Shepherd of the Hills Presbyterian Church at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 23rd.
