Clay LaBOUNTY Obituary

Clay R. LaBounty age 71, of Euclid, passed away Oct. 22, 2025. He was born Sept. 29, 1954 in Euclid.
Clay loved his job where he spent over thirty years in the creative service dept. at Picker/Marconi / Philips.
He was an avid Cleveland sports fan who joked this was the year the Browns were going to the Super Bowl. To know him was to love him-his warmth, humor, and unwavering spirit left an impression on everyone he met. After the passing of his beloved wife, he devoted himself wholeheartedly to raising their three children, taking immense pride in the family, they built together.
Clay was always up for a good time-whether it was camping, golfing with his buddies, heading out on whitewater rafting trips, or catching up with friends and swapping stories.
From a young age, Clay loved playing sports-whether it was baseball, softball, basketball or golf. His competitive spirit shone through in everything he did, and he never let anyone leave until they swished out. Known as the king of one-liners, Clay had a gift for making everyone around him laugh.
Clay is the beloved husband of the late Joy (nee Nunnally); dear father of Carly Alexander (Joel), Brian LaBounty and Adam LaBounty (Mollie); grandfather of Jonathon Alexander; brother of the late Myra and David Larkin and Susan Rupp; son in law of the late Deanna and Richard Nunnally; brother in law of Kay Brookshire, Evan Nunnally (Maria), Joan Painter (Allen), Gail Bengele (Brian) and the late Jane Sendek; uncle of many.
A Funeral Service will be on Wednesday Oct. 29, 2025 at 10 AM at Brickman Bros. Funeral Home, 37433 Euclid Ave. in Willoughby, where the family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3-7 pm. Interment All Souls Cemetery in Chardon.

Sincere condolences on Clay´s passing. We worked together at the refreshment stands at Memorial Park. He was a great guy and everyone who met him was better off for the experience. I know that I was. Blessings to all.
