Crezetta L. Joost

Mrs. Crezetta L. Joost Mrs. Crezetta Lewis Joost, "Mrs. Joost" of Austin, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend was called home by our Heavenly Father on May 22, 2008. She was born in Caldwell, Texas, on September 26; the last of three daughters to the late Hulon Dexter Lewis and Polly Tolbert. She was preceded in death by her two sisters Maxine "Ruth" Ransom, and Rosa L. Fowler-Clark. She lived a life of service to many children as a career educator that began in Burleson County, Texas and later in Creedmoor, Texas. She taught the remainder of her teaching career in Austin ISD at Ortega and Simms Elementary where she retired, 1986. She leaves to mourn her loving husband of 60 years John A. Joost, her two devoted daughters CaSandra Joost-Reed of Austin, CaRita Joost-Forte and husband Louis of Round Rock; four grand-children Sterlyn Reed, Alexis Forte, Ca Lynn Reed, Johnathan Forte, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 30, 2008 followed by the Wake from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at Phillips-Upshaw & Richard Funeral Home 1410 east 12th St Austin, TX 78702. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Greater Mr. Zion Baptist Church, 1801 Pennsylvania Av. Austin, TX 78702; interment at Evergreen Cemetery.
