When it seemed we were far away from the spiritual path you drew us back and helped us to stay focused on him. It's because of you we can and could with your smile and song. Watch over and guide us always.

Church Resolution – Reverend David Carothers, Sr.

Revelation 14:13
And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their works do follow them.

Whereas, Our Heavenly Father has taken our beloved Reverend David Carothers, Sr. from the Church on earth to the Church Triumphant. The Lord Jesus Christ called him from labor to reward, from the land of the dying to the land of the living, to rest until the Rapture.

Whereas, The Park Springs Baptist Church family, take this time to mourn the transitioning of one of God's Ambassadors, a five-star General for the kingdom of God, Reverend David Carothers, Sr..

Whereas, Reverend David Carothers, Sr. served at Park Springs Baptist Church whenever he was in attendance. He supported this church both financially and physically during his tenure. He was just in his dealings, faithful in his engagements and exemplary in his deportment.

Whereas, We have a noble example to imitate, while in the appointed departure, the grace of God is magnified, and we are encouraged to expect a final triumph, and see Reverend David Carothers, Sr. again at the sound of the trumpet - in that great getting up morning - when the dead in Chris shall rise first. "Absence from the body, but now present with the Lord" Hallelujah!

We are reminded in the scripture where - John, said in the book of Revelation 14:13 said - And I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them .... Now he is "Resting until the Rapture".

Be It Resolved: For those of you that do not know this God of Reverend David Carothers, Sr., get to know Him NOW – You do not know when Jesus WILL RETURN FOR THE Church – But rest assured, He is soon to return. Revelation 22:17 says - And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. Don't wait until it is said, too late. Hell is too hot; eternity is too long. To those of you who do know Jesus, the God of his Salvation - Run the race that is set before you, Hebrews 12:2 says - Look unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of your faith...

Be it Further Resolved: Family members and friends of Reverend David Carothers, Sr., We the Park Springs Baptist Church family – want to comfort you and the family with these words. Isaiah 53:3 says that He is a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief. So, David says in the 24th number of Psalm and the 9th Verse - Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of Glory shall come in. Verse 10 ask and answers the question - Who is this King of Glory? The Lord of host, He is the King of Glory. We pray that you will do as in Psalms 121:1 which says - I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help; my help cometh from the Lord who made heaven and earth.

In the words of a Sunday School Song:
Ask the Savior to help you; Comfort, strengthen and keep you
He is willing to aid you – He will carry you through

We pray that you will be comforted and encouraged with these words.

A copy of this Resolution will be given to the Family and a copy placed in the Church files
