I had the pleasure of sharing precious time with Dr. Hale this past September at the Paul P. Taylor Top Golf outing. He was so relaxed and content. He enjoyed the day reminscenting, telling wonderful stories of all the people who had touched his life through Pediatric Dentistry. I am so thankful I was blessed to be in the same stall as Dr. Hale and have him touch my life one last time.

David had a quick wit, kind smile and a good heart, and I am so saddened by your family's loss. Not only was he a great pediatric dentist, but he was also a great person that was not afraid to give you his honest opinion on any subject. He provided us with a lot of laughs during the OCE weeks, and it just won't be the same without him. He will be so missed by so many.....

Dr. Hale was the best dentist. I remember seeing him for my dental needs when I was a little girl. My mom took me and out of all the dentists there, he was definitely my favorite. My condolences to his family.

Dr. Hale was always so much fun to be around in the clinic, and I believe everyone particularly enjoyed being picked on by him! Although you could be doing something entirely wrong, he always used good humor to point out your mistakes - never leaving you stressed or embarrassed. He had time for anyone with a question about dentistry, private practice or life. I knew that if I came to him with a serious question he would give me an honest answer (whether I wanted to hear it or not). He was also really good at "cutting to the chase". As a resident, I held his opinion on matters in the highest regard because he spoke the truth and none of his answers ever seemed self-motivated. Although we didn't talk regularly after graduating, I still knew I could call him with a matter at anytime in my career (as I did a couple of times after leaving residency) and he would help. I feel so blessed to have been trained by such an outstanding pediatric dentist. He was the full package of a great man. Much love and many prayers to his family for the sadness they are feeling at this time. There is no way to replace such a unique character but you did a wonderful job honoring him at his service today.

I will always remember him for his friendly, easy manner, as well as his dedication to our profession. David was an outstanding teacher and board examiner. He was greatly respected and admired by all of us who had the pleasure to work with him. He was a joy to be with and he will truly be missed.
