Friday mornings:
Tiny: Good morning, Mr. Mar-teen! How are you today sir?
Me: Another day sir, you?
Tiny: Not too bad for a beautiful Monday morning!
The job we had was never easy but he unknowingly always helped make it better for me in the mornings with his cheerful attitude walking into our shop, standing tall, & ready for whatever the day had in store for him. It was a small but long lasting inspiration to many of us that helped us out get through the day.
I´ve only known him for 8 years, compared to others who have known him for decades, but to me it feels like I´ve known him longer than that.
It did sting hearing about his passing at first, but then it turned into joy & happiness for him because now he no longer suffers in this world. He had moved on to the ultimate happy ending to the human story, which is meeting our Lord face to face for the first time.
I may not have known you for most of your life, but I sure will celebrate the time I got to know you, from your war stories during your time in Vietnam, to the both of us almost electrocuting ourselves fixing some wiring in the shop.
Throughout all of that, you never let me forget the single most important thing in your life, & it´s never ending appreciation for your wife to spend the rest of her
Life with you & the blessings that came with that over the course of your marriage. That gives me & many others hope for our futures.
Thank you for everything sir. We won´t ever forget you. & I still remember when you told me, that one day someone´s gonna have to take over for you in giving roses to the ladies at work on Valentine´s Day. I got you sir.

He was the sweetest man. He always thought about his girls at VW. I had the honor of working with him for 8 years and this definitely hurt. We will miss you so much Tiny and you will never be forgotten.
