Diane "Dee" Virginia Hendrickson, 67, peacefully passed away Sunday, December 20, in Austin, Texas, following complications from a recent heart surgery. She was born May 2, 1948 in San Antonio, Texas, and lived most of her life in Austin, Texas.
Dee was proceeded in death by her father Morris W. Smith. She is survived by her mother Gloria B. Smith, husband Harry V. Hendrickson, daughter Rebecca and son-in-law Jason Minor, son James Hendrickson and daughter-in-law Amber Bass-Hendrickson, grandchildren Phoenix (4), and Drake Minor (3). She also leaves behind her brothers Morris W. Smith Jr., Ronald D. Smith, Kenneth L. Smith, and their families, Sisters and Brothers-in-law Nancy N. Johnson, Rosalie Hamilton, Roy Glynn Hendrickson, Sally A. Kuykendall, Susan K. Hodges, Terry A. Hendrickson, and their families, as well as many extended family members, Aunts, Uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear dear friends.

Dee had a love for the quarterly seasons and holidays all year through. Her enthusiasm for birthdays, celebrations, and traditions was appreciated during her life by all who knew her, including the students and faculty of AISD where she retired as a food service manager after 30 years of service. Dee was also a child of God and longtime member of All Saint's Episcopal Church. She celebrated each day joyously. All that she did for family and friends is cherished now in loving memories.

Visitation will be Saturday morning December 26, 2015 from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at Harrell Funeral Home, 4435 Frontier Trl., with services at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Austin Memorial Park.
