Eric Vidal Obituary

Eric John Vidal (November 24, 1971) passed away on June 3, 2022. He was a loving and caring son, brother, and uncle to his large family. He was a kind and loyal friend who believed in a life of service and helping others. Most of all, he was a proud Papa to Aidan, Mia, and Joshua. Born in El Paso, Texas, to Rita and Charles Vidal and the youngest of six siblings, Eric relished in the love of his family, near and far. He was a proud graduate of Burges High School, where he excelled in baseball under Coach Osborne. As an avid ball player, Eric went on to attend and play ball for Sul Ross University. Before graduation, Eric began his service to his country as a member of the Navy Reserves.

Eric was larger than life and had an impact on everyone who knew him, even strangers loved him after minutes of meeting. He was the epitome of a big and beautiful heart. He was also incredibly funny, witty and rooted for all underdogs and any team that was playing against the Cowboys. As a follower of Christ, Eric led his life with empathy, gratitude and generosity, often giving people the benefit of the doubt, chances no one else would and doing favors without any expectations in return. He is preceded in death by his Mother, whom he adored, and is survived by his three amazing children Aidan, Mia and Joshua, his loving father Charles Vidal, his siblings Charles Jr., Elizabeth Azar Vidal, Susana Reid Vidal, Phillip and Michael, and his wife Sunday.

Services will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at 5:00 PM at Martin Funeral Home East (1460 George Dieter Dr.).
