Erin Trikha Obituary

Erin Trikha Jan 9 1967-Nov 14, 2012 Erin Trikha passed away unexpectedly on November 14, 2012. She was a wonderful mother to her two kids, Vikram and Madhavi, and adored them. She is also survived by her mother and stepfather, Joyce and R.J. Wagner, her father and stepmother, Frank and Glenda Hurley, her siblings, Heather Jackson, Cathie Hurley, Frank Hurley, and Dan Hurley, her step-siblings, Ray Bradshaw, David Bradshaw, and Sheila Marshall, and numerous nieces and nephews in North Carolina. Her awesome fiancée. Steve Niemeyer, and his sons, Carl and Sam, will miss her terribly. Erin was off the charts smart and had always wanted to be an astronaut but could not pass a physical; having said that, she did get accepted into NASA flight school! Erin was a great friend to many people and was loved by friends, co-workers, family, just about everyone. She was irreverent and had a terrific sense of humor; in fact, she said that when she died she wanted to be a ghost and play tricks on people. She was always chipper in the morning, and she was young and full of life. She loved animals and they loved her. Erin was an awesome cook and always said that her friends' idea of having a good time was to come over to her apartment and watch her cook Indian food. She spoke English, French, and Hindi and a smattering of German and Spanish. She was a Hindu but didn't agree with how they practiced in India; they didn't practice what they preached. No matter her condition, she always tried her hardest to get what was best for her children and her family. A true biologist, she had very systematic ways of resolving things, and in the end, she was always right. A service honoring Erin's life will be held Saturday, November 17th, at 5:30 p.m., at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, at the corner of Barton Hills Dr., and Barton Skyway.

Memories and Condolences
for Erin Trikha

December 9, 2012

I was on maternity leave when I learned of Erin's passing, which makes the last email she sent to me wishing me a safe and healthy delivery all the more special. When I reflect on Erin's memory, my mind is filled with her radiant smile and her eyes that always seemed to hold a bit of excitement in them, even when we were in the most boring of meetings. I can only imagine what a fun and caring person she must have been outside of work. I am sorry that Erin had to leave so soon. My thoughts and prayers are with the family and close friends. God bless you all.

Dear Erin,
It seems that it was just yesterday we had lunch at the Bluebonnet Cafe while chaperoning our kiddos on their 5th grade field trip. I remembered you looked so happy talking about your upcoming date with Steve. It seems that it was just yesterday that I watched you run down the hill after Vikram's Cub Mobile Derby car, wanting to protect him. It seems that it was just yesterday that you were beaming when Madhavi performed one of the lead role in the 5th grade school play. I will miss your radiant smile and kind personality. I will keep Madhavi, Vikram, and Steve in my prayers.

Dear Erin,
I am unable to believe that you are now very far from us. It is still very difficult to believe!
To me, you will always remain as a treasure which I got during my life. Today I am broken and depressed as I lost someone who was really special. I know I will not get any other person in my life that will be so cheerful; gentle and kind like you were. There will be a gap in everyone's life with whom you have spent any time. I pray for Vikram; Madhavi and all your family & friends to have strength to bear such great loss!
I will always remember you.

Erin, I cannot believe that you are gone. When I received the news I was just stunned, and your death has had a huge impact on me. We worked together at PPD and at INC, and you and your beautiful children had been to my home several times. We laughed a lot, and I always enjoyed you. I will miss you. Your passing has taught me that life can end in a split second when you least expect it, and therefore we need to take each minute and hold it close to our heart and cherish our time. I bless you and your children. Heaven has received one of the most beautiful souls on the planet.....

The world has truly lost a lovely soul. Erin had charm, sensitivity, kindness and generosity seldom seen. The room lit up when she walked into the room and her laughter and smile were contagious. It was abundantly apparent how dearly she loved her children and they always came first. I have a very heavy heart today as do countless others. There is no doubt that Erin had a wonderful effect on everyone she met. She will never be forgotten.
