Ernest Pineda Obituary

(01/09/2003) Ernest Pineda, 55, of Pflugerville, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 5, 2003. Mr. Pineda was a Vietnam veteran who served two tours of duty for his country in the U. S. Marine Corps. His daughter, Brenda Pineda, preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Eva Pineda; his mother and stepfather, Beatrice and Antonio Salazar of Austin; his father, Andrew Pineda and Mary Joe Leigh. He is also survived by his sons, Ernest Pineda, Jr. and Fidel Pineda; his step-daughters, Daisy Summit and husband, Orlando Anciso, and Rachel and husband, Roy Rendon; five grandchildren and one great-grandson. Also surviving are brothers, Robert, Andy, and Tony Pineda; sisters, Marie Pineda, Patsy Zubia, Christina and husband, Elias Lopez; fifteen nieces and nephews; special niece, Andrea Wills, and many other loving family members and friends. Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 8, 2003, at the Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 9, 2003, at Dolores Catholic Church, 1111 Montopolis Drive, with Reverend Paul Pudussery as Celebrant. Interment with military honors will follow at Cook-Walden/ Capital Parks Cemetery.
