Erwin Margurger

Erwin Ernest Marburger, 91 of Elgin, Texas passed away Saturday, September 22, 2012 in Georgetown. Erwin was born on February 1, 1921 to Martin and Mary Marburger in Lincoln, Texas. Erwin served in the Navy during WWII. On August 24, 1943, he married Laurinda Fickel in Lexington, shortly thereafter they moved to Austin and Erwin was a cabinet maker. In 1983 they moved to Elgin and he was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. Erwin loved fishing, ranching and watching the deer and birds. Erwin was preceded in death by his parents, wife; Laurinda Marburger, Son; Michial E. Marburger, one sister, and two brothers. He is survived by his daughter; Pat Dungan and husband Ron of Georgetown, 5 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm Monday, September 24, 2012 at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home, Elgin, Texas. Funeral Service will be 10:00am Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Grace Lutheran Church, Elgin, Texas. Graveside service will follow at 1:00pm at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery, Pflugerville, Texas.
