Forrest F. (Jack) Faubion Forrest F. (Jack) Faubion, 87, of Marble Falls, Texas, passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2004, at Seton Medical Center in Austin. Services are at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 2, 2004, at Edgar Funeral Home Chapel in Marble Falls. He was born April 23, 1917, the youngest of eight children of Carl and Eva Faubion of Spicewood, Texas. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Mr. Faubion attended school in Spicewood before graduating from Abernathy High School. He then attended Tarleton College and graduated from Texas A&M College in 1941. Mr Faubion proudly served his country in the European Theater during World War II as a radio operator for the 661st Tank Destroyer Division. Following the war, he instigated the government-sponsored educational program in agriculture in Coryell County for veterans returning from the war. He retired after 33 years public school teaching in Andice, Liberty Hill, Evant, New Deal, Killeen, Lampasas, and Marble Falls. Mr. Faubion also enjoyed cattle ranching and raising and training registered quarter horses. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Marble Falls where he was a charter member of the Bunton Sunday School Class. Survivors include his devoted wife of almost 63 years, Evelyn (Midge) Bunton Faubion; daughter Ann Faubion Jones and husband Lucius of Chilton; son Jim Faubion and wife Doris Moore Faubion of San Marcos; grandchildren, Tim Jones of Houston, Linda Faubion Griner and husband Tim of Seguin, and David Faubion of Cibolo; great-grandchildren Trent Jones, Tori Jones, and Zachary Griner; two sisters, Velma Pinson and Cora Lee Gregg of Marble Falls; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Eva Faubion; sisters, Inez Lewis, Merle Phillips, Ann Whigham, brothers, Fowler Faubion and Bernard Faubion, and; grandson, Stephen Forrest Jones. Pallbearers are Tim Jones, David Faubion, Tim Griner, Craig Seward, Pat Boyle, Sam Phillips, Bill Phillips, Bob Lewis, David Pinson, and Jerry Edwards. Honorary bearers are members and past members of the Bunton Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church of Marble Falls. The family wishes to express their thanks for the loving care received by the hospital staff of Seton Medical Center in Austin and the support given by the First Baptist Church of Marble Falls and many friends.
