BONNET, Gary Gene Gary Gene Bonnet passed away at home in Bertram, Texas on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at the age of 65. He was born in Austin, Texas on July 27, 1951 to Joel Douglas Bonnet and Berneice Smart Bonnet. Gary graduated from Round Rock High School in 1970 and went on to accomplish many great tasks before retiring from the Carpenters #1266 Union in 2011. After his retirement he enjoyed spending his time outdoors raising barbado sheep, playing golf with his buddies and fishing on Lake Buchanan. Gary is survived by his beloved, Theresa Overstreet Tobin; daughter, Gennifer Gayle Malish and husband, Mike Malish; granddaughters, Cherie Shedd and Regan Shedd; father, Joel Douglas Bonnet; mother, Berneice Smart Bonnet; brother, Doyle Wayne Bonnet and wife, Cindy Bonnet. He is also survived by many uncles and aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins. Pallbearers are Troy Bonnet, Roger Bonnet, Wayne Bonnet, Steve Bryson, Danny Knowles, Simon Robinson, Dave Volk and honorary pallbearer Henry Peavler. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel and Crematory in Georgetown, TX. Gary's Celebration of Life will be Thursday, May 11 at 10:00 a.m. at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel followed by burial at Bagdad Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
