Elizabeth and Candy,
May the Lord keep you under his care during your tragic loss.
Worked with Glen several years in VBA at the VA and he had sure a outgoing personality.
Never a dull moment, always kept us LAUGHING. Loved it when he dressed up in a different costumes during Halloween - one time he was a walking human trach can and everyone was laughing at him. Another time he was a purple and green dragon with long tail walking around the building making everyone laugh.
Well have GOOD MEMORIES of him and now he and your daughter are with our LORD.
Keeping you in my PRAYERS.

To the entire family of Glen and Elizabeth Russell, lean on God during this very traumatic time in your lives. As one who has also lost both a husband and son, I truly know the pain you must be enduring at this time (indescribable)......but my testimony to you is that God got me through it even when I thought I could not endure the pain, and He shall get you through it as well. Lean on Him during this time and take comfort in knowing that your loved ones are with the Lord---TO BE ABSENT FROM THE BODY IS TO BE PRESENT WITH THE LORD! I was so very fortunate to have worked with Glen on the BIRLS and VADS system for years at the VA. I will certainly keep your family lifted in prayer! May God comfort and bless you all.

God be with your family in this difficult time. Glen and I shared a mailbox at USL and though at times I questioned his refereeing abilities in flag football, he was always a good friend. It is my loss not to have kept in touch with such a good guy over the years. Pickering High'81/USL '85

I met Glen at the Records Center in St Louis in 1998. We were St Louis to see whether SSA could get access to the Archives Military Service records. VA needed SSA’s Identity and Benefit data. Working together with others over the next 2 years SSA and VBA became model data exchange examples in the federal government. I found him to be knowledgeable and dedicated, but more important, fun loving and witty. Over the last 8 years we have kept in touch and I always looked forward to calling him or visiting Austin. He also never let the interagency politics get in the way of our goal, service to the public.
I miss him already.
My sincerest condolences to family and friends.

My son called me from school to inform me of the tragic loss of Elizabeth. He and I are both saddened at this loss. Our hearts and thoughts go out to the family ...
In the short time we knew Glenn, he touched our family in such a positive way. Though most of our interaction revolved around a card table, Glenn always found time to interact with the family. He often brought gifts for lil' Dylan, tips for the wife, and joy to everyone in the room.... His memory will extend beyond those round tables and live with us forever. The Dom will be missed.

Although I didn't work directly with Glen, I've known him for many years. We played in a few VA golf tournaments together. He would always rib me about my long hair with a "Get a haircut!" yell in the hallway or from across the parking lot. I'll miss him.
