Family-Placed Obituary

Gloria Pulido Martinez 1948 - 2005 On Saturday March 12, 2005, the angels welcomed Gloria Pulido Martinez to heavenly home. Born on September 29, 1948, in Austin, Texas, to her parents; Jesse and Lupe Pulido. She is survived by her husband of 33 years; Alfred Martinez, children; Mario Martinez and wife Dolly, Nicole Balderas and husband Felis, Alfred Martinez, Jr.; her father, Jesse Pulido; sisters, Norma Ramirez and husband Manuel, Lena Cantu and husband Mingo, Sonia Rosales; a brother, Ramon Rodriguez; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Gloria loved her family and dedicated her life to her 16 grandchildren. Preceded in death by her mother, Lupe Pulido; and a daughter, Laura Martinez. Gloria serviced A.I.S.D. for 19 years. She enjoyed working with people, especially children. Those who knew her can truly say they benefited from knowing her. She battled her illness for five years. Recitation of Holy Rosary 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Remembrance Chapel- Mission Funeral Home. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. J.C. Cain, O.M.I. to officiate. Committal services will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers; Alex Pulido, Gary Ya ez, Mario Amaro, Adiran Alejo, Oscar Pulido and Ray Charro.
