I met Howard in and around the mid 80s during my college years in Austin, Tx. We were soooo young and full of zest for life back then. I remember getting to know Howard through the church circuit that existed in Austin at the time. We would always encounter one another at church musicals and choir events back in those days. Howard, as I recall, was a quiet, gentle-spoken, God-fearing guy who wouldn't hesitate to help you if in any way he could. I was so sorry to hear of his passing and wish all of the ones left behind who actually loved him peace in knowing that those of us who lean on the promises of Jesus will see him again.

I will miss Howard, he was always kind and polite since I've known him.
I grew up with the Davis family and always welcome in the home of the late Rev. S. L. Davis as they called me Deb (Lovie Piper's Girl). Mt. Calvary Baptist Church was our church home and we all lived in the same neighborhood. They all treated me like family including Vickie, Jeanne, Susan, Lenny and many others. My condolences go out to Vessie and other family members.

I met Howard at Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church where Howard was raised and brought up in the church under his great grandfather the late Rev. S.L. Davis. Howard had such a wonderful spirit and was such a great & talented & loving person. I will say this I am pretty sure the family celebrated his birth: the day Howard entered this world 1962 - 2018
And I believe there was a big celebration in Heaven the day Howard went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus The Christ who welcomed him home.
I have come to learn that the dash between ones life (years from their birth to when one depart this side and enter into Eternal life promised to those that accepts Christ as their Lord and Savior) Well the dash between Howards life speaks for itself.
He loved and touched many, many people's lives, through his love for others, his voice, his gift from God! Howard was a beautiful person who loved the Lord and treated everyone with love and respect. Howard will be missed but because of Jesus Christ those that believe and trust and accept Christ will be given a chance to see him again.
RIP Howard and to the family ( Mrs. Vessie Tutt, and to his sister) and the entire family please know that our prayers and condolences go out to each of you.
