Jacey Coffey

(12/20/2002) Jacey Coffey March 11, 1997 - Dec. 17, 2002 Jacey Coffey died December 17, 2002, in a tragic auto/bus collision. It was supposed to be just an ordinary day. She and her mother were on their way to Jacey's kindergarten at Blockhouse Creek Elementary in Leander. Jacey was only 5 but she had aheady had a tremendous impact on her immediate and extended family as well as those who knew her. All of us will remember and miss the patter, the chatter, the curious questions, the ``loves Barbie, loves pink, loves storybooks, loves cheerleaders, loves movies, loves family, loves family celebrations'' little girl that Jacey had become in her five short years. Jacey loved to talk. Even the principal at Blockhouse Creek had already discovered that! All of us will miss her warmth, her gorgeous smile, those beautiful eyes, her energy and her love. Jacey liked who she was. She especially loved her image on a digital camera or on TV. And because she loved herself, she easily loved all she came into contact with. Jacey didn't know a stranger. Jacey lived and played in the Sandy Creek neighborhood of Leander. Grandma and Grandpa's house was just a stones throw away. She is survived by her parents, Thurman J. (TJ) and Cheryl Coffey; her big sister, Haley; and numerous relatives. Visitation will be Saturday, December 21 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills Funeral Home at 9700 Anderson Mill Road. Funeral services will also be held at the Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills Funeral Home at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 22 with a balloon release immediately following the service at the funeral home. Procession with Graveside Services to follow at Bagdad Cemetery in Leander. The family invites everyone to their home following the graveside service for a time of fellowship and remembrance of Jacey's life.
