Jack Herzik

Jack Herzik, 80, died on January 11, 2023, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Jack was born on November 20, 1942 in El Campo, Texas, but grew up in San Marcos. He attended Plainview High School and then Southwest Texas, where he received a degree in accounting. Jack had a few partners during his lifetime, but Carter Holder (now deceased) was the most significant. Jack lived in various places over the years, but spent much of his life in Little Rock. He was extremely close with his mother, Madeline Herzik, who passed away in Austin, Texas in 1996. Jack moved to Austin for a period of time to be near his family, but ultimately moved back to Little Rock. For many years, until he couldn't any longer, Jack would come home for Christmas, beach vacations, and family events and we all have fond memories of those visits. We will miss him very much. Special thanks to his friend, Karen Wyles, who helped with cremation arrangements. Jack is survived by his brother, Aubrey Herzik, and his nieces and nephews Leslie, David, Jennifer, Clint, and Joanna. Jack's sister-in-law, Diane Herzik (now deceased), was especially fond of Jack and they had a deep respect and love for each other. Private burial will be held for family only.
