John Marshall Obituary



John "Wesley" Marshall, Jr. Born September 16, 1918 passed away June 28, 2007. Wesley was born on September 16, 1918 in Palmer, Texas and lived in Austin most of his life. He retired from Mrs. Baird's Bakeries after serving in the US Navy and was married to Ardyce Faye Wesson for 62 years, who preceded him in death in October, 2003. Wesley was an active member of Parker Lane United Methodist Church for more than 65 years. Wesley is survived by his twin brother James Leslie Marshall of Longview, sons; John and wife Diane of Granbury and Michael and wife Barbara of Kyle. He is also survived by six grandchildren and their spouses, and 14 great-grandchildren. The family would like to express their thanks to the administration and staff at Walnut Hills Convalescent Center for their loving care of "Papaw". A special thanks also to our dear friends, Larry and Mary Toups for all their love, support and assistance. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11am on July 19, 2007 at Parker Lane Methodist Church 2105 Parker Lane, Austin, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Greenwood Cemetery Association, 1400 Oakridge Drive, Round Rock, and TX 78681 or to Parker Lane United Methodist Church, 2105 Parker Lane, Austin, TX 78741.

John and Diane, I am so sorry for your loss. I know it was expected at some time, we had discussed it when I was up there. But no matter if you expect it or not it is still hard. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
