I am sorry to read of Richard's death in the Oklahoma Bar Journal. I worked as his legal assistant at Unit Drilling a long time ago...but not so long ago that I don't remember his joie de vivre and lilt in his step.

Richard was a good friend and will be truly missed by me and my family. Richard and I worked together, played a lot of golf and went on a several fishing trips; great memories that I will always cherish. May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

I never had the opportunity to meet Richard, however, from what my son Jason tells me and after meeting his children and reading his obituary, it is evident he was a very special person. My heart goes out to his family and friends during this time. I pray God's blessings on each of you and that you will find peace and comfort in your treasured memories.

I am truly sorry for the passing of such a wonderful man, Father and friend. Although I only knew Mr. Zieren for a short period of time, I can truly see how great a man he was through his family and friends. My prayers go out to each of you as I know that he touched and impacted the lives of all of those who came into contact with him.

I worked and played with Richard while we were both employed at Southwestern Power Adm. Richard and I ran many miles togethear on the Riverside Running Trail. He was a great friend and spent many hours in our home where he was always welcome, even when his arrival was timed for our evening meal.

I worked with Richard at the Corps of Engineers and the Southwestern Power Administration in Tulsa. That boy made me laugh so hard at times I could not catch my breath. I will miss him.
