Kenneth We miss you but know you are in heaven with no more pain and any other ailments you experienced while on earth. I know you are rejoicing in the presence of Jesus. I will always remember when you and your family came to visit us in Hawaii. We had some good times.

I no longer attend WCBC and was shocked to learn only Saturday of Brother Ken's passing. He married me not once but twice and travelled out of town to do so. I loved him very much and am deeply saddened. He will be dearly missed by so many. He was a wonderful, precious man.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Thompson Family during this loss of their husband and father. This family has been our best friends since we first met at Hillcrest Baptist Church in 1957. We have had some good times together since then.

A very sad day! I'll miss Ken SO much! Ken has been a friend of the family for a long, long time. Ken married me back in the 80's and I surprised him with a black leather dress as my wedding dress; he thought I was joking when I told him I'd be wearing it!! I made Ken a bible marker from the left over leather and he kept it in his bible; I guess to this day it's there. He thought that wedding memory was a great one! My condolences to the family! Ken was a great man! I'll miss his laugh, his wonderful sense of humor!! He is now in heaven with my father laughing up a storm! See you some day Ken!!

My heart is breaking as I sit and digest this. Just a toddler running around, I remember growing up at WCBC. Thirty years ago when I was 8, he baptized me while I stood on cinder blocks to keep my head above water. Although he wasn't going to let go of me, I held a tight grip to his forearm until he said, "Don't worry, I've got cha. I'm not gonna let you drown." It was then that I loosened my death grip.

There are numerous great stories I could share about Bro Ken. From hanging out with us on some youth group outings to listening to our wild tales that would make him throw his head back and laugh are my favorites.

Most of my greatest childhood and teenage years are the fondest memories of Bro. Ken and the WCBC family. I miss his smiles, his laughs, his friendship. Bro Ken, rest in the arms of our Lord. My God provide comfort to Cookie, Mindy, and Michael.

Love always,
Dr. Anna Goodloe

Brother Ken holds such a fond memory for me. His wonderful smile, his infectious belly laugh, his great sense of humor are my first thoughts when I hear his name.

Praying for God to give you all the peace and assurance of His promise of eternal life.

Though nothing can bring back the hour
of splendor in the grass, of glory in the flower,
We will grieve not, rather find
Strength in what remains behind.
.... William Wordsworth

Ken leaves a legacy of great love for his family, dedicated service to the Lord, and deep and abiding friendships.

Bro Ken will always have a special place in our family's memory. He always had a loving heart and made those he met feel special with his warm smile and firm handshake. He always served the Lord by caring for the parishioners of Walnut Creek Baptist Church. He loved them as his own family. Bro Ken is now where he belongs in the loving arms of God!
