Larry KETCH Obituary

KETCH, Larry Allen
Larry Allen Ketch, 63, of Austin, TX went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 10, 2015. He was born on August 05, 1951 in Stillwater, OK to Aurvill and Victoria Ketch.

Larry lived his life for his family and friends. He never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He was a wonderful husband to Candy for 40 years before her passing. He loved his children unconditionally, and raised them well, but most importantly he taught them to love the Lord. He was an incredible Papa to his grandchildren who truly believe, he hung the moon. They had a bond, that even in death, will never be broken. He will truly be missed by everyone who had the pleasure to have known him.

Larry was a successful business man during his life. He spent many years in business with his wife, and they could not have been happier working together. Even when they decided to have separate careers they still carpooled each day as they were truly each other's best friend. Even though he loved his career, being at home, enjoying his family, the past few years brought him great joy.

Larry is preceded in death by his wife, Candy: son, Adam: his mother, Victoria: and sister, Christy.

Larry is survived by his daughter, Angela Ketch Bisson and husband John; grandchildren, Emily and Jack and daughter-in-law, Suzi Ketch; dad, Aurvill "Chuck"; brother, A.J. and wife Sandy; sister, Sandy and husband Tom and numerous family in Stillwater, OK; Pueblo, CO; and Houston, TX.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Jim Bob and Margie Simmons, Larry's neighbors for being such good friends to Larry through the years.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home with Dr. Ken Baldwin officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service, starting at 1:00 P.M.

I still have a lingering sadness when I recall learning of Larry's passing and that I did not know about it and therefore missed his funeral. He was a dear work friend and I greatly admired his positive attitude. Such a good soul and I am sure he is glad to finally be back in the arms of his sweet wife Candy.

Angie,
I'm sorry to hear of the passing of Larry, I worked with him in Stillwater during the 70's when he had Ketch glass & Mirror, and I knew you, Adam and Candy as well. When the family moved to Austin I even came to visit, but over the years I lost track and time seems to move faster and faster.

For some reason I was Googled Larry today to reach out to him and found out about his passing. I'm so sorry for you and your family. Larry and Candy were the best people and always there for others.

Larry was a great friend to my sister. He drove her to doctor appointments, sat with her for hours at Texas Oncology during treatments, and made grocery store runs. He was very helpful during a difficult time. I appreciate the kindness and friendship he brought into her life. My sympathy for your loss.

Angie, your family was the best bunch of neighbors we ever had! It seems like just yesterday when you, Larry and your two children pulled in the driveway and we chatted for about an hour. Just from that exchange, I felt like Larry was still having difficulty with the loss of Candy. Two more kindred souls, I've never known and now they are together again. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you & your family at this very difficult time. Do not hesitate contacting me if I can be of help in any way.

Angie, Jerry and I were so fortunate to know your Mom and Dad. They were true soul mates to each other. We never knew a couple that were more devoted to each other or loved each other more.. I know your family will miss your Dad...he was a wonderful man. However, we know you have many wonderful memories of your parents to treasure and comfort you. So sorry we were unable to attend the funeral we had company from out of town. If we can do anything for you or your family, please let us know.

One could always count on his smile and dependability when something was needed at work [Brown McCarroll]. He always did his best to keep things rolling smoothly, no matter what [or who] tried to do otherwise. My sincere condolences to his family.

I was sorrowful to read about Larry's passing in today's newspaper. Larry was one of my customer contacts at Brown McCarroll, and he was always kind, personable, upbeat and professional. He truly will be missed, but know that he is in God's arm, along with Candy and Adam.
