Lucian Weaver Obituary

Lucian Archibald Weaver, III Lucian Archibald Weaver, III "Skip", age 51, who lived in Austin, TX, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 8, 2010. Skip was born in Brownsville, TX on March 7, 1959. Skip's family moved to Corpus Christi, TX when he was 9 years old. Skip loved to surf when he was a teenager. One of his greatest accomplishments was becoming an ordained minister. He was a steadfast Christian. He loved to quote scriptures. He is survived by his cherished daughter, Tiffany and his grandson, Marquez who reside in Cicero, IL. He is survived by his loving mother, Ruth B. Hans, who lives in Austin, TX; his aunt, Mary Shoemaker of Groves, TX; his sister Lou Anne Whitis and brother-in-law Mike James of Wimberley, TX; his sister Suzanne Vignaud and brother-in-law Robert Vignaud of Austin, TX; his nephews, Eric and Blake Vignaud; and his nieces, Eden Rodriguez, Erin Tobin, and Amber Tobin. Skip had many cousins and other relatives that loved him. He had a wide array of friends. Skip is predeceased by his father Lucian Archibald Weaver, Jr., his grandparents: L.A. "Archie" and Florence Weaver of Orange, TX and Emery and Annie Baker of Port Arthur, TX, and his sister Kathy Weaver Tobin. Skip had a very colorful life. He had numerous jobs and enjoyed music and partying. He chose his own path and had many wild tales to tell. He survived countless trials. He believed in a better place. If his beliefs have panned out, then he is in heaven with all of his family and friends that have already passed on. He is surfing in the heaven version of Puerto Escondido and basking in the love of God. He is no longer in any pain and he will be sorely missed by many. Cremation arrangements have been made with Heart of Texas. A memorial to celebrate Skip's life will occur at a later date. Memorial gifts can be made to the charity of your choice. Special thanks to Meals on Wheels, The Salvation Army, The Austin Housing Authority and countless doctors, therapists and organizations that provided assistance to Skip. Special thanks to Kelly Doyle for being such an amazing friend. The family can be reached through Skip's sister, Suzanne Vignaud: [email protected]

It's hard to conceive that the precocious, mischievous, grinning, nine-year-old tow head, who I met in 1968, has grown up, lived life and departed. I'll cherish his friendship and will miss his presence. Sincere condolences to the family and friends of "Skippy".
