In 1982, Lucille and her family moved to Austin, Texas, where she found volunteer work in the Westbank Library. Lucille enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading and handwork. She created many beautiful dolls that were sold in fundraisers for the library. She will be remembered for her sparkling blue eyes, her quick wit and sense of humor, and her love of the beauty found in nature. Her family would like to thank Blanca Elias and Francisco Gordy, her beloved caregivers, and Alma Vazquez and Patty Almond of Hospice Austin, who were unfailing in their care and attention. A private family gathering will honor and remember Mimi on Mother's Day.
