Martha Caroline Judin Grove

Martha Grove Obituary

Martha Caroline Judin Grove Oct. 15, 1932 - Aug. 27, 2009 Too soon, the light of our life has left us, now free of the cruel disease that stole her memory and wouldn't give it back. Over-achieving mother of four, each torn beteen wanting her to stay and wanting her to be released from the certain dimming of the candle until its light has failed. Now, we must each find some fulfilling balance betweeen weeping for our loss and feeling conforted by the end of her pain. How many times a day does a word or glance trigger a memory-- with tears or smiles or both? Happily, we can long treasure our memories, even as she was robbed of hers. Finally, her anxious pleas of "I want to go home" have been fulfilled-- long since with no clear idea of where "home" might be. Bye-bye, sweetheart. Give us one last kiss. A private family memorial has been planned. Please remember Martha by giving to the Alzheimer's Association.

Curt and cousins, just know that I loved Martha more than you can know. I knew her from the time she was in college. I idolized her as a kid and love her dearly.

Curt - I just now learned of Martha's release. I was not aware you had moved back to Texas, since it has been a while since we communiated. It will have been ten years in December since I lost my Winkie, so I am able to walk in your shoes. May the Lord give you comfort at this time.
