Mary BRYANT Obituary

BRYANT, Mary Blake Mary Blake passed December 21st, 2017, one day before her 84th birthday. Life will never be the same without our beautiful and gracious mother, Nana and friend. A lovely person inside and out, she will be remembered for her kindness and knack for making all who met her feel special. Her social calendar was always full with Book, Cookbook and Bridge Club, PEO and Hope Presbyterian Church activities. She planned every moment and enjoyed sharing her zest for life with others. Ever the consummate hostess, she loved entertaining company! Famous for her cooking, (especially her brown sugar yeast rolls) some of the best remembered times were those spent around her dinner table. Born in San Marcos, TX on December 22, 1933 the daughter of Katheryn and Tom Perrin. She spent most of her childhood growing up in Painesville, Ohio. She met her husband Ray while students at Purdue. After graduating with a degree in Dietetics they moved to Germany where Ray was stationed with the Army for two years. They raised their sons on a farm outside of West Lafayette, Indiana and moved to Austin in 1978. She spent her career working in the food and nutrition field. Mary was loved by everyone who met her and will be dearly missed by her family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Ray and brother Tom Perrin. Survived by three sons: Larry Patrick and Ken, brother Wilson, eight grandchildren: Lindsay, Scott, Utah, Jill, Luke, Katelyn, Wilson and Austi, and four great grandchildren Kailey, David, Max and Liv. Those of us who knew her, know that she would not want us to mourn her passing . Please join us in celebrating a life well lived at 2:30 on January 13, 2018 at Hope Presbyterian Church - 11512 Olson Drive, Austin TX 78750. Mary was blessed to have so many special people share her journey and our lives were infinitely more joyful with her in it!

We are so sorry for your loss. We had just moved into the house across the street from her a few months ago and she came over and welcomed us to the neighborhood and brought some baked goods ( some sort of sweet bread). She was very kind.

You knew in 5 minutes she was as beautiful inside and out, I have met too few Mary Blakes in my life. I have and always will have a smile on my face from my knowing Mary, I am sure she touched so many with her kindness and grace, sending strength and forever fond memories to the entire family.
