Maureen Boynton Obituary

Maureen Colman Boynton, 87, passed away on October 30, 2025, in Dale, Texas, formerly of Austin.
Born on September 17, 1938, Maureen was the youngest of eight siblings. She was married to Ernest Ray Boynton for 55 years until his passing. As a devoted military wife during her husband's 20-year service in the USAF, Maureen embraced the challenges and adventures that came with military life.
A proud English woman with a style all her own, Maureen was known for her fierce independence, strength, and unfiltered honesty. She lived life on her own terms and was a loyal friend to many. Her passions included treasure hunting at thrift shops and garage sales, doting on her beloved cats, and indulging in all things British. Above all, she found her greatest joy in babies and had a deep love for animals.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughters Karen Rice (Jim) of Dale, TX, and Julie Arldt (Calford) of Coupland, TX; granddaughters Melody Dunn and Harmony Rice of Dale, TX; Ashley Scoggins Griffith of Lexington, TX; Samantha Arldt of Manor, TX; grandson Calford Arldt of Manor, TX; great-grandchildren Katlynn Dunn, George Dunn, Lilly Dunn (all of Dale), Zella Pendergrass (Dale), Amy Brown and Heather Brown (Lexington), and Paisley Griffith (Lexington).
In honor of Maureen's love for animals-especially cats-memorial donations may be made to the Lockhart Animal Shelter at 547 Old McMahan Trail, Lockhart, TX 78644.
