Family-Placed Obituary

Mavis Barnett Morrison Mavis Morrison, age 84, passed away Thursday, December 30th in Dallas, Texas. She was born May 16, 1920, in Chappell Hill, Texas but moved to Austin with her family at a young age. She graduated from Austin High School in 1937, and married P.W. Seiders son of Bess and Weller Seiders of Austin. P.W. was killed January 5, 1944, in Germany during W.W.II. They had one daughter Carol Jane Seiders. Mavis later married Wm. Roy Morrison, and they had one daughter Cynthia Lynn Morrison. Roy died March 17, 2003, in Dallas after retiring from Continental Airlines. Mavis is survived by her daughter Carol and son-in-law Travis Nevill of Dallas and her daughter, Cynthia Morrison of Arlington, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mavis is also survived by her sister, Lynn Hosny of San Antonio, her sister-in-law and brother, Pat and Frank Barnett of Dallas, and her sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Lewis King of Austin, as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m.,Tuesday, January 4, 2005, at First Baptist Church of Richardson, Texas and burial will be at 3:00 p,m., D-FW National Cemetery. Arrangements are being made through Davis Funeral Chapel, 6428 Brentwood Stair Rd. Ft.Worth, Texas 76112.
