Michael Borden Obituary

Michael Neil "Mike" Borden, 77, of Leander, Texas, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2022, at his home. Born in Birmingham, Alabama and raised in Amarillo, Texas, he was the son of Frank and Marie Borden. He graduated from Tascosa High School and served his community as an attendant for Amarillo Ambulance Service and his country as a Medic in the Army National Guard. Mike also served as a reserve police officer with the cities of Lakeway and Cedar Park, Texas, and as a reserve deputy with the Travis County Sheriff's Office. He ultimately had a successful career with and retired from the Texas Department of Transportation where he worked as a Human Resources Officer. Mike loved spending time with his family, friends, and two chihuahuas. Mike is survived by his sons, Brandon (Jennifer) Borden, Jason Borden, Justin (Eileen) Borden, and his daughter, Ashley (Jeff) Foster; six grandchildren, Brynn Borden, Brooklyn Foster, Brant Borden, Brody Foster, Bryce Borden, and Felicia Borden. Mike was preceded in death by his wife, Debbie Borden; father and mother, Frank and Marie Borden; brother, David Borden. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 30th, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Weed Corley Fish Funeral Homes, 1200 S. Bagdad, Leander, TX 78641.
