Nancy Elton Obituary

Nancy Honig Elton, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully at home in Austin, Texas, on October 28, 2025, surrounded by her family.
Born in Houston in 1949, Nancy graduated with a degree in psychology from Texas Tech University. In 1970, she married Richard Elton and in 1971 they moved to Austin, which became their lifelong home-a place she dearly loved.
Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. She was a loyal and steadfast friend, with a wide and cherished circle in Austin and beyond. Her garden overflowed with color and life, and her home was filled with warmth, family, friends and joy.
Diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2021, she faced her illness with courage and grace. She remained active, traveling, spending time with friends, and staying deeply involved in the lives of her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Elton; her children, Lindsay and Johnathan; her sister, Martha Boone; and her adored grandsons. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
