Patsy Boothe Daugherty

Patsy Daugherty was called home to Heaven on Good Friday, April 18, 2025. Patsy Ann Boothe was born to Lawson and Helen Boothe on January 17, 1939 in Austin, Texas. They had a dairy farm in South Austin when the area was still dominated by farms and open fields. Raised in a strong Christian home, Patsy led a life devoted to Jesus and teachings of the Bible.

In 1956, Patsy met the love of her life, Thomas J. Daugherty. They were married in a whirlwind romance that lasted until his passing in 2009. They raised three great kids, Wanda, her first and favorite, followed quickly by Sharon, and finally, Tommy.

Patsy was a dedicated Air Force wife and mother, following TJ's assignments to Germany, El Paso, Kansas, and finally San Antonio, where he retired. TJ, Patsy and young Tommy moved to Huntsville, TX in the late 70's. Patsy became a realtor while TJ worked at TDCJ. Around this time, they welcomed their precious first Grandchild, George. They then welcomed grandkids Phillip, Ami, and Laura. Patsy loved taking care of all, cooking fabulous specialties like chicken and dumplings and everyone's favorite, biscuits and gravy.

In 1996, they moved back to Austin so Patsy could care for her mother and Aunt Nell. Patsy helped raise Sharon's children who were living with them, as a close and loving family. TJ and Patsy were wonderful role models for their children and grandchildren, instilling values and helping them become responsible, well-rounded adults with good morals and values.

The family will receive friends from 12:00pm to 2:00 pm on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Harrell Funeral Home of Austin. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday in the Harrell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Masonic Cemetery, Austin Texas.
