Robert Canuelle Obituary

Beloved husband, father and friend Robert Bernard Canuelle Sr. is presumed drowned due to a tragic accident on October 3, 2003. He was a happy loving man who made many friends throughout his life. He will be remembered for the great joy he brought into our lives. The family will receive friends at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2003, at the Celebration of Life Service to be held at Cook Walden's Chapel of the Hills on Anderson Mill Road. Bob was born on December 1, 1943, in Detroit, Michigan. He is survived by his wife, Carol Canuelle; his son, Rob Canuelle Jr.; and his daughter, Charissa Canuelle, all of Austin. He is also survived by his sister, Alice Canuelle of Windsor, Canada; his brother, William and sister-in- law, Linda Canuelle of Bossier City, Louisiana; his brother, Dennis Canuelle of Preston, Washington; his sister, Doreen Canuelle of Newport News, Virginia; and many nieces, nephews and godchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eileen and John Canuelle. ``Jeep', as many knew him, was loved for his sense of humor and his readiness to help anyone in need. He enjoyed an enormous capacity for friendship and will be missed by many whom he considered precious friends. He served in the U. S. Navy in his younger days. He loved outdoor activities especially playing golf and watching all sporting events. He enjoyed traveling with his family and friends. He was the owner of BC Developers Inc., a general construction and development company, which he moved from South Lyon, Michigan to Austin, Texas in 1983. He was active in the Northwest Chapter of Business Network International (BNI), a business networking professional group. Jeep served many years on the steering committee for Alliance For Infant Survival, the North Texas Chapter for the SIDS foundation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Robert B. Canuelle Memorial Fund and should be sent to the attention of Sharon Hopkins, Wells Fargo Bank, 10900B Research Blvd., Austin, Texas 78759.
